Candidate Meet & Greet on August 18th

There will be a Meet & Greet with the candidates on Friday, August 18 from 8:30 -10:00 a.m. at Third Shot Coffee & Acai, located at the Prescott Gateway Mall. Please stop by to chat with the candidates and get to know them, and enjoy a coffee and treats on us!

Election Details

The election will take place September 5-8, 2023, by electronic ballot sent to all members via email. Winners will be announced in a special email broadcast, as well as on all PAAR communication platforms.

The available positions are:

  • President-Elect
  • First Vice President
  • Treasurer-Elect
  • Two (2) Director seats
  • One (1) Appraiser Director seat
  • One (1) Commercial Director seat
  • One (1) Property Management Director seat.

President-Elect

The President-Elect serves one year as President-Elect, one year as President, and one year as Immediate Past President. This position is also a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors. The duties of all officers shall be such as their titles, by general usage, would indicate and such other duties as may be assigned to them by the Board of Directors.

First Vice President

The First Vice President is a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors. The duties of all officers shall be such as their titles, by general usage, would indicate and such other duties as may be assigned to them by the Board of Directors. The First Vice President shall perform other duties as delegated by the President or assigned by the Executive Committee. Additionally, the First Vice President may also be asked to participate in or lead a work group, task force or serve as a Liaison for a committee.

Treasurer-Elect

The Treasurer-Elect serves for one year as Treasurer-Elect and one year as Treasurer. This position is a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors. The duties of all officers shall be such as their titles, by general usage, would indicate and such other duties as may be assigned to them by the Board of Directors. The Treasurer-Elect should have a basic understanding of financial statements. The Treasurer-Elect serves as Vice Chair of the Finance committee. The Treasurer-Elect will fulfill the duties of the Treasurer in the event of the absence of the Treasurer.

Director

PAAR Directors are a fiduciary of the association and have a special legal responsibility in connection with the administration, investment, and care of PAAR and its assets. This requires Directors to make careful, good-faith decisions in the best interest of PAAR and its members. Their decisions must be made independently and free of any undue influence from any person or organization, including any other association, MLS or brokerage. A Director may also be asked to participate in or lead a work group, task force or serve as a Board Liaison for a committee.

There are two Director seats available.

Appraiser Director

The Appraiser Director is a specialty Director of the Board and has the same duties and term of office as other Directors (as listed above).

Commercial Director

The Commercial Director is a specialty Director of the Board and has the same duties and term of office as other Directors (as listed above).

Property Management Director

The Property Management Director is a specialty Director of the Board and has the same duties and term of office as other Directors (as listed above).
