RAPAC, The REALTORS® of Arizona Political Action Committee, is the sharpest tool REALTORS® have for protecting themselves from onerous local, state and federal legislation.
RAPAC gives the real estate industry a much needed voice and seat at the table regarding important issues that affect our industry!
Need an example of how strong RAPAC can be?
In addition to the constant protection of the mortgage interest deduction, flood insurance, real estate tax deductions, the debt reduction act, and securing the new APS Line Extension policy for rural properties, look at the passage of the REALTOR®-proposed constitutional amendment banning transfer taxes at the state, county and local levels. It passed, in large part, because of the contributions to RAPAC.
However, RAPAC is only as strong as you make it. Its success in safeguarding your livelihood is directly linked to your level of investment.

RAPAC is best viewed as insurance for your REAL ESTATE Business.
PAAR’s 2016 RAPAC GOAL, as directed from NAR, is to achieve a total RAPAC Contribution of $24,083. We are asking each PAAR Agent Member to contribute $30 this year to RAPAC (that is less than $3 per month and less than Starbucks double latte!), and each PAAR Broker Member to contribute $99 this year to RAPAC.
Isn’t that a small price to pay to protect our industry and private property rights?
Your RAPAC contribution allows us to do that – make sure our industry, and the concept of private property rights, are properly represented on all major and relevant issues at the local, state and federal levels. Give us that SEAT AT THE TABLE!
Making a contribution to the REALTORS® Political Action Committee is simple and easy. Here’s what you need to do:
1. Call the PAAR office (928-445-2663) and tell them you want to contribute to RAPAC. You can contribute with a credit card over the phone.
2. Drop off a check at the PAAR Office, made out to RAPAC. The check must be from a personal account (no corporate checks).
3. Or, you can make your RAPAC contribution on
line – just CLICK HERE. (You must first login to REALTOR.org)

NOTE: RAPAC Contributions are not deductible for income tax purposes. Contributions to RAPAC are voluntary and are used for political purposes. The amounts indicated are merely guidelines and you may contribute more or less than the suggested amounts. You may refuse to contribute without reprisal and the National Association of REALTORS® or any of its state associations or local boards will not favor or disfavor any member because of the amount contributed. 70% of each contribution is used by your state PAC to support state and local political candidates. Until your state PAC reaches its RPAC goal 30% is sent to National RPAC to support federal candidates and is charged against your limits under 2 U.S.C. 441a; after the state PAC reaches its RPAC goal it may elect to retain your entire contribution for use in supporting state and local candidates.
