If you’d like to become a part of your association, there is no better way to start than to become active in a PAAR Committee/Work Group! Generally your time commitment is about one hour per month and the benefits are endless! When you volunteer to participate in the Association’s decision-making work, you contribute to the Arizona real estate industry, build valuable contacts and add information and skills for your business success.

Governmental Issues: The Governmental Issues Committee keeps members informed of local, state, and national issues on private property rights and legal issues. Meets monthly or as needed to review local & regional government issues impacting private property & industry issues.
Education: The Education Committee coordinates educational offerings for designation and certification courses, Continuing Education classes, and other educational programs to increase members’ knowledge and professionalism. Meets regularly.
Community Service and Outreach: The Community Service and Outreach Committee communicates a meaningful, diverse and effective way, first to our members, then to the public, the benefits of our Association. Meets regularly.
Finance: The Finance Committee oversees the PAAR financial reports, and other PAAR investments. Committee to be chaired by the PAAR Treasurer. Meets monthly.
MLS: The MLS Committee appointments are for staggered two year terms. The MLS committee oversees MLS policies and procedures, MLS training, marketing sessions/tours, lockbox policies, and reported violations. ** All members of the MLS committee shall be participants (broker owner/Managers). Meets monthly or as needed.
MLS Home Tours: The MLS Home Tours Committee will be charged with making recommendations to the PAAR Board of Directors about policies related to the tours and how they could best operate.
Technology: The Technology Committee shall provide information on emerging trends in technology that will impact their business and business operations and to provide opportunities to share information with respect to new technologies and new business applications.
Affiliate Council: The Affiliate Council shall have the oversight responsibility for the development of services that meet the specific needs of the Prescott Area Association of REALTORS® Affiliate Members. As the recognized voice of this membership group, the Council serves as the primary advocate for using Affiliate Member products or services. It also provides guidance and direction for the development of activities, materials, policies and programs that result in increasing Affiliate representation and involvement with PAAR and the real estate industry. Affiliates only.
RAPAC: The RAPAC committee helps educate PAAR members on the benefits and importance of the REALTORS® Political Action Committee. It encourages members to donate; coordinates fundraising events and attends local and state political events and activities.
Every effort will be made to accommodate your field of interest; however, if you are not contacted to serve on a workgroup this year, please don’t be discouraged.
We will also be forming groups for specific task throughout the year that will be disbanded when their assignments have been completed.
